SEGMENT PRODUCER, VLOG CURATOR | COMCAST NEWSMAKERS

As a producer for Comcast Newsmakers I was the project lead for all video elements and digital distribution. I was a quarterly contributor and sole curator of the California region page. Each blog post contained SEO friendly titles, tags, social media links and short form interviews.

Comcast Newsmakers is the longest-running news and public affairs platform of any cable operator in the country. Having launched in the early ‘90s with a single production unit in the Beltway region, the format quickly expanded its footprint. Today, Comcast Newsmakers includes a national edition, regional production serving 46 broadcast markets, and a vibrant digital presence. Featuring compelling conversations with regional and national trailblazers, Comcast Newsmakers shines a spotlight on issues that resonate at home and across America.

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT | FOOD FORWARD, PBS

I joined the Food Forward team as a production assistant for the television series. I was responsible for assisting in the creation of promotional and marketing materials for PBS.com and emails blasts to subscribers. My contributions to the show page included biographical info, Q&A’s with the talent and seasonal recipes from featured chefs.

Food Forward is a PBS series about people transforming the way we eat in America. The series showcases innovators and pioneers -- food rebels -- transforming the way we grow and eat our food. We meet farmers, chefs, teachers, scientists, fishermen and ranchers in more than 50 cities and towns across the country who are all providing new solutions to help combat America's growing food challenges. Many of their innovative techniques emulate a return to more traditional—and sustainable—methods of farming, fishing, and ranching.
